On 06-07 November, a delegation consisting of our Chairman Mr. Mehmet Altay YEGİN, Secretary General Mrs. Aysun YILMAZ and Board Member Mr. Andaç ÖZSOY participated in the ‘30th SAFE Working Group’ meeting in Brussels, the World Customs Organization (WCO)

 At the ‘SAFE Working Group’ meeting held on 06-07 November; the integration of SMEs into the AEO programme, the expansion of the AEO concept to cover cross-border e-commerce, the introduction of simplification practices in AEO programmes for Free Zone stakeholders, the report of the global AEO Conference and the draft of Shenzhen Action Plan were discussed. We would also like to state with pleasure that, as per the decision taken in the first session, Mrs. Meriç KELLECİ, Head of Trade Facilitation Department of the General Directorate of Customs, was appointed as the Vice President of the World Customs Organisation (WCO) AEO on behalf of our country. We would like to thank her for her devoted work and wish her success in her new position.

 On 08 November, we visited our Brussels Ambassador Mr. Bekir UYSAL and our Commercial Counsellor Mrs. Esengül ATEŞAĞAOĞLU in their offices. We exchanged information about our association and regional awareness. We would like to thank them for the meeting held in a warm and sincere atmosphere and wish them success in their duties.
